Secure Rytelines clips with a nail or screw.

User Guide

Rytelines Stringline Clips are innovative tools designed and invented by a tradesman for the trade and DIY markets. The Rytelines Stringline Clips system consists of three patented clips a left, a right and corner clip, which secures stringlines in place giving a vertical and horizontal point quickly and easily.

The Rytelines system allows the stringline to be set for a straight line (using clips marked L & R) or at right angles (using clips marked L, R and C). The Rytelines clips all come with holes on the surface to allow for screwing or nailing to timber, if needed, when being used off the ground (second story decking, facia board etc).

Rytelines Stringline Clips can be used with stringlines or chalk lines. Used for paving, tiling, bricklaying, retaining walls (timber and blocks), timber decking, setting of posts, capping to walls and window sills, aligning strip drains, garden edging (paver, timber sandstone etc) and various wall cladding products.

The stringline is fixed the same quick and easy way for all applications. For a straight line between two points use the clips marked L and R. Starting with either clip, place the string under the tab and in the notch which is diagonally opposite to the raised tab. You then run the string diagonally across the clip and behind the raised tab to the notch and under the tab opposite returning back to the raised tab to form a figure 8. The figure 8 is repeated to secure the line. Place the clip on the outside corner of the product you are using (paver, tile, post etc), pull the line taught to the opposite end and repeat the process using the remaining clip.

To create right angles use all 3 clips (L, R and C). Secure stringline to either clip marked L or R and run the stringline out to clip marked C. Clip C should be placed on the outside corner of the product being used Simply place the stringline under the nearest tab and in the notch, keeping the stringline taught, run diagonally across clip C and place in notch and under tab on opposite corner. Pull the stringline taught through to remaining clip and repeat the securing process using the figure 8 method previously explained.

Rytelines Stringline Clips are ideal for tiling. Simply grind each clip down to the required depth.

How to pave & tile using Rytelines Stringline Clips

There are 3 clips marked L (left), C (centre) and R (right). These fit to the outer corner of each paver/tile.

For two lines at right-angle, secure string to the left clip, through the centre clip and secure to the right clip as shown in diagram.

For a single line, use left and right clips only.

Once secured, string should run diagonally across each clip and sit flush against the paver/tile edge and then onto the next clip.
